For years, the Lara Newsagent was only known to our town as being exactly that, a newsagent. Selling newspapers, magazines, greeting cards and, that’s about it. Over the past 6 years us owning our little business, we have expanded both our view, and our customers view, of what a newsagent can be. Now stocking a wide range of giftware for kids and adults, and more recently getting into the women’s clothing market, it’s safe to say we are not your typical small-town newsagency. But that’s what we, along with many other newsagencies across Australia have had to become, in order to survive. In an effort to not just survive, but thrive, we decided to take this leap in the hopes of reaching new customers by creating an online hub for all your shopping needs.

The Rubarb Collective – named after the owner’s daughter Ruby and the owner herself Barb, aims to become your first choice for online shopping. Offering a selection of our clothing and giftware lines for online ordering with local pickup and Australia wide postage, we hope to provide customers a new and exciting place to shop!
